About Oxalis
Closed since May 31, 2019, Oxalis was a labyrinthian Bywater restaurant and whiskey bar. The gastropub opened in late 2013 and was part of a wave of fashionable and ambitious restaurants in Bywater, such as Maurepas Foods and Booty’s, both of which have since closed. The picturesque restaurant focused on cocktail-friendly food. The bar specialized in whiskey. The back bar, called the Branch, was a popular service industry hangout.
